At the ripe old age of 20, I made a decision to enter what was called

then the security field. This was back in 1986. I always loved the business field. I graduated high school in 1985, a DeWitt Clinton alumni. Thereafter, I attended Baruch College in Manhattan, New York majoring in business management/administration. My very first security experience was with a company called Main Security. It was my first security job; I remain with them for several years during my College era until they sold the company to Hall Security. I was able to continue my security experience with them. I realized I loved this field because it allowed me to help people and it allowed me to interact with diverse degrees of social, cultural, and economic classes of people. I quickly was promoted into several promotional roles such as Corporal, Sergeant, Captain, and Site Manager, and later segued into working for CUNY Public Safety Field as a Peace Officer. I was afforded the opportunity and experience to cover some major events including the Major, Governor, and Presidential and United Nations dignitary events held at Battery Park City, my site location. In 1998, after 12 years in the private sector, I transition to the CUNY Public Safety Department and my personal life also was transitioning as well. I got married to my wife of now 24 years and 8 kids later. Now they are all grown. In 1999 was my starting year in the law enforcement field of work ( moving from Campus Security Officer to Sergeant ) and remain there until retiring In 2023 at which time I decided to start my own Security Company called Solid Rock Protection LLC. With 37 years of security/law enforcement experience and countless pieces of training, I have seen the security industry evolve from basic to a highly sophisticated, technologically innovative field that is here to stay. Security has now become the fabric of our world.
